Alicia & Henry's Is a one person run pet care provider in the quaint town of St.Marys Ontario and the surrounding rural area. Operated out of my own home. I'm Alicia and Henry is the four legged "assistance"! Offering personalized services for boarding, house sitting, drop ins, walking and more for all types of animals to fit their needs.

Pet Boarding
$40 a night
Cats/Small Animals: $15 a night
Boarding pets will come and board with me in my house. They will have free access to roam in the home and enjoy a conected dog run with 4ft tall fencing with supervision. 24/h access to fresh water, Individual feeding areas and daily walks. Animals come into my house and are treated like their one of my own. Lots of activities like snuffle matts, training games and group pack play or toy play. Keeping animals busy and entertained all day long! I can have up to 6 boarding animals at a time for overnights. This does not include daycare stays. Animals must be okay with multiple animals at a time see "drop in visits" if this may not suit you and your animal. Please Review my Hosting Policies before booking

Going away for a few days for vacation, work or holidays and need a reliable provider to look after your pets? Here are some of the services I offer for overnight and long term care. My service radius starts from St. Mary's town hall and 10km outwards.
I require a minimum 12 hours before time of service to accept a booking but cannot guarantee I will have availability for the requested date.
Drop In Visits
$35 a day
No extra rate for multiple animals
Animals stay in their own home with frequent check in’s, around 3-5 visits a day. Visits include feeding, fresh water, socialization, play time. Potty breaks and a walk for dogs, litter box/cage cleaning for cats and caged animals. Along with cleaning any messes that may occur. Drop ins are a great alternative for pets that may not enjoy the company of other pets or would just prefer being in the comfort of their own home. Each visit includes mail collection, plant watering and any other requested instructions from the house owner.

During Day pet care
Do you work away from home, are leaving town for the day, or just need someone to take your pup for a while? Here are day only services I offer for your furry friend.
I require a minimum 2 hours before time for day service to accept a booking but cannot guarantee I will have availability for the requested time.
Dog walking
$15 for 30 minutes (+ $5 for second dog)
One-on-one walking, price is for one dog. I am willing to walk any sized dog or dogs with any excitability, pulling or reactivity issues. I supply all necessities like poop bags, a leash, treats and water. All I require is a collar or harness you use for your dog! I'm comfortable using any tools you choose to supply such as gentle leaders, prongs, muzzles etc. A second dog on the same walk is $5, or can do dogs individually for $15 each.
Doggy Day Care
$20 -30 a day ($10 for second dog)
day care takes place in my own home, I keep everyone occupied by lots of outdoor play in the dog runs. Playing ball, tug or supervising play time. I keep lots of dog activity games at hand, puzzle toys, treat balls, snuffle matts keeps the brain thinking! We also keep busy in the doggy lounge, our indoor play area complementary of a photobooth, Doggy ball pit, automatic ball launcher, and a kennel space for dogs that need a break. Full day daycare for longer than 9 hours is $30 Please Review my Hosting Policies before booking
About Me
Hello! I'm Alicia Martin, I’m 22 and grew up here in St. Marys Ontario. I'm a passionate animal lover, art enthusiast and enjoyer of photography and social media! My home resides of my partner, David and our dogs, Henry, Twix; the corgis and Arthur the mutt. Theres also Fluffy the sphynx cat, Martin & Dom the day geckos and my 6 rats (Cinnamon, lucky, Trix, K, Reece's, Chex).
I'm also a part time digital artist and costume maker. I enjoy taking custom orders on pet caricatures and selling merchandise of my artwork and my costumes I handmake at conventions and markets. I love art as much as I love animals!
On my spare time I love photography and taking pictures of dogs and animals. I enjoy getting out my camera or phone to take adventure shots or some nice portraits. I keep an updated social of my dogs on Instagram! @StoneTownCorgis (if you wish to follow!)
My dogs and I have dabbled in conformation dog shows, agility training, herding trails, obedience and many other different dog sports. I've come to love training, learning with my dogs and trying new experiences. I'm strictly force free, positive training only.
Growing up my life was all about animals, as much as it is now! I spent a lot of time at my grandparents farm, playing with many different animals like horses, pigs, chickens, cats and dogs.
Most summers I spent horseback riding at my grandparents place or helping my aunt raise welsh corgi puppies.
Some of my best memories come from spending many hours with the animals and just spending time with my dogs.

Welcome to our home!
We are located on James street south, right in St. Marys!
Pets over for boarding or daycare stay here in my own home! We are not a kennel or facility just a personal home and that’s what makes us so unique!
Animals get the comfort of a house & yard just like at their home! They get the roam the house, sleep in the human bed, cuddle on the couch or spend all the time they’d like to run in the yard.
Pets get the usual routine of people getting up and leaving for work, gathering in the kitchen and making diner or spending time at family movie night. It’s the usual normal routine that makes it so comfortable for pets to stay here! And I, Alicia, will be home for most hours of the day so they’ll have comfort of human championship for most of the day and during night.
We now have an Indoor/outdoor area long the back of the property for more room for fun and play! Will be a great spot for when its chilly or too hot out!
Experience
Working with animals is my passion. I love dogs, cats, horses, rats, lizards and well most animals you could name. I've been pet sitting for over 3 years professionally.
I am pet first aid and dog CPR certified with Canine Health Canada along with being a verified member of Pet Sitters International.
I have experience assisting in a dog kennel, from handling dogs, cleaning kennels, yards and messes. Grooming tasks like clipping nails, bathing dogs, blowing out coats and clipping fur.
With my own dog I have attended many classes on obedience and agility. I've learned many techniques and fundamentals for training dogs. I'm strictly positive training only with my dogs and dogs I work with. I have dealt with excitable and energetic working dogs with a surplus of energy, not many dogs can wear me out. Big and small, will not be a challenge for me.
With my long work with dogs I have learnt so much over the years on dog behavior and can understand their language quite well. Every dog is different but I am able to understand their signals very quickly.
Dogs are not the only animals I have experience with, I also own multiple pet rats currently and have had cats, rabbits and hamsters in my past. I also have experience around horses, chinchillas, hedgehogs, ferrets, Small birds and geckos, all animals I'd be comfortable to care for.
I have also worked on a barn, cleaning barn stalls and preparing horses for riding.
Every animal is unique with their own explicit needs and care, I understand the importance of all animals. I hope I can be someone you will trust to care and look after the individual needs of your animal and best friend.

Our Hosting Policies
Drop Off & Pick Up
Monday to Saturday earliest drop off time is 8:00 am and latest pick up time is 10:00 pm.
Sunday Earliest pick up is 12:00 pm and latest is 9:00 pm.
I will try my best to accommodate and work around my schedule for pick up’s/drop offs.
I am unavailable for drop offs/pick up’s midday on weekdays 10:30am - 3:00 pm Monday to Friday.
I require an estimated arrival time reaching no longer then 30 minutes
(Example: arriving between 3:00-3:30 pm on Saturday)
Arrival outside of the designated time I cannot guarantee I can be present.
Requirments
Dogs & Cats must be over the age of 4 months before any hosting care begins
Dogs & Cats over the age of 1 year must be spayed/neutered as I cannot host mature intact animals in my home.
Animals need to have up to date rabies vaccination
Dogs need to have the parvovirus vaccination (DHPP, Distemper vaccine)
Highly Recommend Bordetella (kennel cough)
Dogs must have solid social skills and not have a bite history.
Dogs must not be able to jump higher than 4 feet. Our Fences are just over 4 ft in Hight. I am unable to accommodate for dogs able to jump this hight or higher.
